Drone Business Competitions
GADA has held drone competitions in various countries aiming to inspire enthusiasts, professionals, and even students to showcase their creative thinking and innovative skills. These competitions also allow the participants to network, share knowledge, and interact with industry leaders. They also get trained in how to pitch their ideas and entrepreneurship skills. One of the most recent drone competitions was a drone business competition in Kenya.
To participate in this competition, one had to find a problem facing the agricultural industry and develop a drone-based solution. This competition brought people from all backgrounds, from students, civil engineers, and GIS professionals to drone enthusiasts. The winners received a drone, a subscription to DroneDeploy, a flight planning and data analysis tool, and drone business training mentorship from our co-founder, Eno Umoh.
Another notable competition is the Drone Soccer competition held in Nigeria. The students not only got the thrill of playing soccer indoors with drones but also learned how to build and repair the drones used for the competition.
Training

GADA also has after-school STEM enrichment and Summer Camp programs that allow students to get hands-on skills in building and flying drones and inspire them to develop their own innovations. Depending on the audience's needs, we can also customize training programs, workshops, demonstrations, and presentations. And those ready to get into the industry can also get trained in safety and drone regulations and get their FAA Part 107 license.
Drone Education Solutions
As mentioned, drones can inspire creativity and innovation. That's why besides training, GADA also helps schools and institutions incorporate drones into their teaching methods. GADA provides consultancy on developing the curriculum, and the equipment needed and helps train the teachers on the best ways to introduce drones to students. The students not only get to fly drones, but they also experience an overall improvement in performance in other subjects.
